Escaped test subject Trevor Cavalli tries to make sense of the world around him after waking from stasis. He's taken a liking to two of the people who got inexplicably involved in his evasion. They all want to go home.

Meanwhile, tensions between the saviours and the survivors grow in a world not theirs. Seemingly inconsequential reasons turn towards disaster, further worsened by the fact that the survivor group known as "The Standby" decide to discover further incriminating evidence against Permut-Spectra: saviours of humanity, in their newly inhabited planet, Ceravi.

Nothing was as expected. The familiar can be, if not more terrifying than the unknown.
